Points on the largest element
Learnerships drive both the spend and the headcount targets on the Skills Development scorecard, plus the absorption bonus points.
Twelve-month accredited learnerships, delivered end to end by EduPower. We recruit, host, train, assess and place the learners, and we commit in writing to absorbing a minimum of 70% of qualifying learners through our absorption partners.

Absorption of qualifying learners
Learnerships carry the heaviest weighting on the Skills Development scorecard, and they are also the element most often disallowed. Registration with the wrong SETA, learner agreements signed late, attendance registers that do not reconcile with claimed hours, or learners who drop out in month eight all reduce recognition after the money is spent.
For an internal team, hosting learners is the harder half. Workstations, supervision, assessment scheduling and the absorption question all land on managers who already have a day job.

EduPower structures the programme against the Codes before the first rand is committed, so the recognition you expect is the recognition you get. We register the learnership, sign the learner and workplace agreements, run the classroom and workplace components and keep the evidence file audit-ready from week one.
Learners can be hosted entirely at our own facilities, which means no workstations, supervision or logistics burden on your team. You receive monthly progress reporting and a verification-ready close-out pack.
Absorption partners: LinksMe Africa, Daly Group, Safricall.
01
We model your payroll, headcount and target points, choose the qualification and SETA, and confirm the indicative spend and point outcome in writing.
02
Sourcing, screening and placement testing of unemployed black youth, then registration of the learnership and all learner and workplace agreements.
03
Classroom and workplace components run to schedule with attendance, POE evidence and monthly reporting into your skills development file.
04
Final assessment and certification, then absorption of qualifying learners through our partner network so the absorption bonus points are real, not hoped for.

EduPower is a Level 1 contributor, so spend with us also carries full recognition on your Preferential Procurement scorecard.
Registered learnerships qualify for the Section 12H commencement and completion allowances, which reduce the net cost of the programme.
Agreements, attendance, assessments and certification are filed as the programme runs, not reconstructed at verification.
